وصف الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب الأحد النائب الجمهوري الذي طالب بإقالته بأنه من “وزن الريشة”.
وكان نائب ميشيجان المتحدر من أصل فلسطيني جاستن عماش اعتبر السبت أن ترامب تصرف بما يمكن اعتباره “عرقلة لسير العدالة”، مضيفا “مما لا شك فيه أنه كان من الممكن توجيه اتهامات مبنية على هذه الأدلّة لأي شخص لا يكون الرئيس الأمريكي“.
ورد ترامب على النائب عماش الاحد في تغريدة على تويتر جاء فيها “لم أكن يوما من المعجبين بجاستن عماش وزن الريشة الذي يقف في وجهي وفي وجه بعض أفكارنا الكبيرة وسياساتنا الجمهورية، فقط سعيا للكلام عن نفسه وافتعال جدالات”.

وتابع ترامب “جاستن ليس سوى خاسر يلعب للأسف ورقة معارضينا”.
كما اتّهم النائب عماش وزير العدل وليام بار بتضليل العامّة “عمدا” بشأن مضمون تقرير المدعي الخاص روبرت مولر المرتبط بتدخل روسي محتمل لتسهيل فوز ترامب في انتخابات 2016 الرئاسية.
وفي سلسلة من التغريدات، كتب عماش إنه “لم يقرأ تقرير مولر سوى عدد قليل من أعضاء الكونغرس” مشيرا إلى أن التقرير حدد “أمثلة عدة لسلوكيات تطابق جميع عناصر عرقلة سير العدالة”.

Replying to @justinamashIn fact, Mueller’s report identifies multiple examples of conduct satisfying all the elements of obstruction of justice, and undoubtedly any person who is not the president of the United States would be indicted based on such evidence.
ويعتبر العديد من الديموقراطيين الذين يشكلون الاكثرية داخل مجلس النواب أن هناك عناصر في تقرير مولر تؤكد أن الرئيس “عرقل مسار العدالة”. ومن أبرز هؤلاء السيناتورة والمرشحة للرئاسة اليزابيت وارن التي تدعو الى إقالة الرئيس.
وعلى الجانب الجمهوري اوضح السيناتور ميت رومني أنه لا يوافق على كلام عماش.
وقال في مقابلة مع شبكة سي إن إن “أكن الاحترام له، وأعتقد أن اقواله شجاعة”، قبل أن يضيف “لكنني لا اعتقد ببساطة أن العناصر اللازمة لإثبات حصول عرقلة لمسار العدالة موجودة”.
